Mundance Film Festival

Let your creative juices flow! Whether you want to create a comedy, drama, documentary, mockumentary, Animation, or Public Service Announcement, District 75 is looking for student directors to participate in the FIRST-EVER Mundance Film Festival

Films will be judged on the following: Writing, Directing, Editing, Innovation, Imagination,  Ability to convey message, effective communication of purpose, creativity, and writing


Gift Cards will be awarded for best cinematography, directing, & editing

PLUS…Best Film and Audience Choice

Gift Cards will be awarded for a variety of categories including Best overall film

Film Submission Guidelines
  1. Films must be submitted by Friday, April 14th, 2017
  2. All Films must qualify as “G” Rated – No mention of drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or guns.  All language must be school appropriate.
  3. May not exceed 5 minutes
  4. Scripts and characters must be original.
  5. Music must either be original compositions/recordings or available in the public domain free of copyright. For more information see visit the Mundance Film Festival website.
  6. Student Directors must have an entry form competed, with parent signatures, prior to submission.
  7. Films will be uploaded to Google Drive.  Information is available on the Mundance Film Festival Website.
