D75 Studio Promotes Student Artwork

About 30 students were recognized by the Mundelein School District 75 Board of Education for artwork their teachers chose to display in Studio 75.

The Studio, located in the Mundelein School District 75 Administration Center, featured the student artwork. Different art forms were on display by each grade level from self-portraits to tree sculptures.

“It was a difficult choice to decide which work to hang,” said Mechanics Grove art teacher Lisa Shirley. “Every student puts forth great effort and has their own unique perspective when challenged with an art project.” Mrs. Shirley, along with the other school art teachers Lilly Fischer and Jennifer Savone, have converted the D75 board room space into a creative room where visitors feel like they are in a gallery or art museum.
